Looks like there is some corrosion around the cardboard gasket, unfortunetly.

Looks more like corrosion on the entire bottom face almost with a new gasket covering it.
The gaskets should be made from an "acid free" material.
If you look at the box, it's been soggy. The moisture has increased and dispersed the acidity of the gasket material, sad.
Art conservators can tell you volumes on this topic and is why they always stress the use of acid free paper and materials for matting and protecting valuable art and documents when framing and/or storing.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.

Still, moisture, rust etc.
I grabbed a 299-8A off fleapay that looked pretty mint, just no working dia. Easy fix.
Should have thought about it with no internal pics.
The rear cover was almost eaten through by corrosion, the gap etc filled by corroded aluminium and the dia 'welded' to the gap.
Spares only. Oh well.
Just because it looks good doesn't mean its not filled with rust inside, especially if the box has been damp.
this seller shows his opened up. need frams though.
